Dr. Nisreen Al-Otaibi is a distinguished counseling psychologist with over 20 years of experience in enhancing psychological resilience and advancing mental well-being among children, adults, and families. Known for her comprehensive approach, she addresses a range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, and emotional disorders, empowering her clients to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Since founding the first branch of Irshad Center in 2005, Dr. Al-Otaibi has developed innovative mental health and educational programs that have significantly impacted the field. Recognizing the critical role of social emotional wellbeing in a child’s personality development and academic performance, she has pioneered specific programs aimed at enhancing these areas. This initiative not only supports students but also extends into programs designed for adults, emphasizing the importance of social emotional wellbeing in personal relationships, as well as personal and professional growth. A key aspect of her work is the early diagnosis of learning difficulties, developmental delays, and social, emotional, and behavioral disturbances. These early interventions are crucial for addressing the multifaceted challenges students encounter throughout their educational journeys. Additionally, the Irshad Center offers exam accommodations for students pursuing International Baccalaureate, British, and American certifications, and extends support to university students abroad.

Dr. Al-Otaibi has launched two major diploma programs accredited by the University of Jordan: the Psychosocial Support Diploma and the IRSHAD’S Educational Psychology Training Diploma. The latter is tailored to meet the cognitive, social, and emotional needs of children, especially those with learning difficulties, and is designed for teachers, educators, school counselors, shadow teachers, parents, and caregivers. This program is noted for its flexibility and adaptability to the trainees’ work conditions and can be customized into workshops based on client needs, ensuring its applicability across various educational contexts. The center is renowned for its commitment to high-quality, evidence-based assessment techniques that provide a comprehensive view of a student’s performance, facilitating effective collaboration among educators, parents, and mental health professionals. This approach is fundamental in developing personalized educational plans that foster long-term development.

Dr. Al-Otaibi has also expanded her influence to the corporate sector by developing strategies for promoting mental wellness in the workplace. Through the Irshad Center, she guides organizations in creating supportive environments tailored to their unique needs and goals. Her integrative approach spans homes, schools, NGOs, and businesses, promoting environments that support mental health and nurture individual potential. Dr. Al-Otaibi’s leadership in melding mental health with educational and workplace initiatives continues to drive substantial change. Her work has established her as a transformative figure in the field, ensuring that mental health remains a core component of both educational and professional environments, advocating for comprehensive development and supportive spaces where individuals can thrive.
